Area Fabrication designs and builds quality handcrafted furniture and casework for residential and commercial spaces.  Founded in 2018 by Andy Karnes, Area Fabrication showcases a commitment to traditional woodworking practices while also pushing the boundaries of materiality and design.  Andy has more than 12 years years of experience in the building and fabrication field. He received a master’s degree from Boston University and an undergraduate degree from St. Mary’s College of MD. Prior to starting Area, Andy taught at BU and Maryland Institute College of Art.
